Awnings conserve energy by shading windows and reducing interior temperatures.
According to a study by the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), awnings on windows and patio doors can reduce interior temperatures between 8 degrees-15 degrees. The exact amount of heat reduction depends on several factors: the exposure on the window, the color of the fabric and the style and method of attaching the awnings. As an example, awnings can reduce solar heat gain by up to 65 percent on south-facing windows and 77 percent on west-facing windows.
All our awnings are custom made and manufactured here at our premises. So if there is something different you have in mind, we can make your awning to suit your specific needs or style. Awnings can enhance the architecture of any home or business, while providing protection from sun and rain.

Retractable Awnings
Retractable awnings are very versatile and perfect for people who want shade only at certain times. They come with a crank that is very easy to use, or a motor can also be purchased. Retractable awnings come in widths of up to 30′ wide and come out to a maximum of 13′. They will withstand up to approximately 20-30 mph winds. Any wind stronger than that would require that it be rolled back unless safety poles are purchased. This is recommended for those who live in areas with excessive wind.
Also available is an optional sun and wind control. When it is too windy, wind sensor will automatically roll the awning back in. When it is too hot, the sun control will roll the awning out for you. The cloth itself will last approximately 15-20 years and the unit should last forever. That means all you ever replace is the cloth.

You can also have lights installed inside the awning, so it can be seen at night.
